Ben Allanach

I'm a Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge, in the Theoretical High Energy Particle Physics Group of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. You can check out my life drawing, which I interpret in terms of quantum physics, at Quantum Selves . For the lay person: to find out the kind of research I've been doing, watch some videos or read an article.

I work on beyond the Standard Model phenomenology. This involves bottom-up model building, collider searches (especially at CERN's Large Hadron Collider) and flavour physics implications. I often work with other members of the Cambridge Pheno Working Group. I worked at CERN in the early 2000s and go back often, having Visiting Scientist status there.
