Agriculture and green spaces

The focus of this topic is on growing more food while providing green spaces for biodiversity and recreation. A summary of the output from the workshops is here.

Some of the issues were discussed at a preparatory meeting on 18 July 2011.

The first workshop, in December 2011, brought together a group of experts to consider issues that will be important for agriculture and green spaces in the sub-region in 2030.
Materials from the workshop:
Workshop summary
Robin Upton's script
David Baulcombe's slides
Jonathan Billingsley's slides
Richard Powell's slides

The second workshop on Thursday 26 January included councillors and officers of local authorities, members of residents associations, and people from business.
Catherine Cairns's slides
Elizabeth Ranelagh's slides

Education and Skills will be discussed also at a meeting on Wednesday 11 January at ideaSpace of the Cambridge group of the Royal Society for the encouragement of the Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA).
