How to get to Cambridge

Cambridge is served by the National Rail network and various bus companies, including the National Express. These run from/to various airports, including London Stansted, London Luton and London Heathrow.

The closest airport is London Stansted (30 min. by train). London Luton can be reached by National Express bus, which takes about 1 hour 40 minutes.

Flights from USA typically arrive to London Heathrow. Direct Heathrow-Cambridge journeys can be made with the National Express buses, which take about 2.5 - 3 hours.
Faster alternatives involve the Underground (Picadilly line) to King's Cross train station, from which regular services run to Cambridge (together about 2 hours). An alternative is to take the Heathrow Express to Paddington Station (charged separately), then Underground to King's Cross.

If you are travelling over the weekend (especially on Sunday) and plan to take the Underground or train, please check for scheduled delays and works on the tracks.
